To the girl who made me a mommy,
Every moment with you has been a moment I've hoped for ever since I was a little girl. I remember in middle school telling my health teacher I wanted to be a mom. And I remember in college telling my closest friends that motherhood was my dream. Now you are here and despite the late nights, early mornings, and hard work in between, it feels too good to be true.
Just last week I read you your first story, Guess How Much I Love You, and really there are not enough pages in any book to describe our love for you. My biggest dream for you is to grow up happy and healthy. I want you to always have the strength to be true to your heart. I want you to never feel burdened or not enough. I want to live my life as a wife and a mother in a way that teaches you that doing things with love is the most important way to live.
One day I will have to let you go into the world and everyday until then my grip will loosen a bit. Just know you were always wanted, fiercely prayed for, and loved each moment of every day. Charlie Quinn, you are our sunshine.
