Unicorn Bridal Shower Invitation

It's no secret that unicorns are trendy. How could they not be? Magical, rainbow, sparkles, beautiful - it's literally everything I aim to be and my friends are. I know when you think of unicorns you are thinking of those adorable cakes every girl has had for their fifth birthday. You know the ones with the crazy frosting and pretty eyelashes.  I wanted to refine unicorns a tad, because duh, grown ups love unicorns too!

Combining my love for wedding stationery and unicorns, I came up with a gorgeous gatefold bridal shower card. If you want to get really crafty, you can use an exacto knife and cut it out yourself, but I opted for ease and used my Cricut (I suggest this method, for sure).  The key to making a successful gatefold card is buying thick paper, like this.

Total Time:

Name of image (title of post is fine)

  • Thick orange cardstock
  • Pink cardstock
  • Cricut
  • Glue stick
  • Files are available to download below
  • Instructions:
    1. Open up the gatefold file and upload into Cricut Design Space. Remove all the white space in order to create the "cuts."
    2. Attach thick orange cardstock to mat and allow Cricut to cut.
    3. Carefully remove gatefold card and remove excess cuts.
    4. Edit (you can use fonts from dafont.com) invitation and print
    5. Glue invitation to gatefold.
    6. Fold the sides down and crease.
    7. Send.

Can you imagine the faces of your friends when you send these out? I'd love to see the color combos you come up with! Make sure to tag your photos with @sweetashoneystudio.com
